Objectives for the Women and Gender Research Collaborative
To form a collaborative of faculty interested in women and gender studies research
To share in-progress and completed research on women and gender issues
To network on publications, conference presentations, and grant writing on women and gender research issues
To use the activities of the collaborative to promote scholarship in women and gender studies by mentoring and supporting faculty, recruiting graduate and undergraduate students, and raising student awareness of further study options and career paths
Activities of the Women and Gender Research Collaborative
To convene a one-hour collaborative research session once each semester (fall/spring) with a faculty presenter followed by a 30-minute networking session on publications, presentations, and grant writing
To collaborate on publications, presentations, and grant writing.
To design and maintain a resource web site listing related research in the form of books, articles, and web sites, as well as academic and career options for students
To produce a juried online journal on research related to women and gender issues
To create a TRACS site for members of the collaborative for posting documents, communications, and resources
